Every year, the new varsity players get a wooden stool that they can paint that stays in the home dugout for their high school career. My high school coaches have moved to a new school, and this is their first year playing Varsity. Both coaches needed new stools, and as a trade for a used glove, I opted to paint Coach Rick's stool. All of the girls on the first varsity team have their initials around the edge of the seat.

A Small Trade
Unfortunately, when I sold my Jeep, I must have also given a perfectly broken-in softball glove to the new owner as well. Lucky them. It was used for three years when I played in college, so you can imagine how upset I was when I was invited to play on a co-ed slowpitch team...and didn't have a glove. I ended up asking my old high school coaches if they had an extra glove I could borrow. They did indeed, but for a price!
